Motorcycle Accident Kills 1 and Injures 6 in Kanabec County

A motorcycle accident in east-central Minnesota killed one person and injured six others on Saturday morning. The crash happened when a Toyota Camry, driven by Par Klaw (30) of St. Paul failed to yield at the intersection of Mahogany Street and Hwy. 70 in Brunswick Township. The car struck two motorcycles and caused a third one to run off the road. A 42-year-old man from Java, SD died in the crash. His passenger, Charisse Mae Janke (40), also of Java, was taken to HCMC with critical injuries. Two people on the second motorcycle, Bruce Alan Johnson (48) and Tina Marie Johnson (46) of Braham, MN also suffered injuries and were taken to North Memorial for treatment. The driver of the third motorcycle, Ryan Paul Ristow (21) of Coon Rapids, MN, suffered minor injuries. Two passengers in the car that caused the crash were taken to North Memorial for minor injuries.
