Delivery Truck Accident Lawyer Minneapolis Minnnesota
A 55-year-old bicyclist was killed when he was hit by a Quicksilver Express Courier delivery truck at the intersection of 1st Avenue North and 5th Street in downtown Minneapolis. The Quicksilver Express truck and the bicyclist were both southbound on 1st Avenue. The truck turned right on 5th and struck the cyclist in the intersection.
The bicyclist was in the designated bike lane on the right side of the road as he approached the intersection. The intersection includes rail tracks that carry light rail trains but authorities said they did not factor in the crash.

Fred Pritzker
“I commute to my office using the Minneapolis bike lanes,” stated Attorney Fred Pritzker, “I have seen close-up how many drivers ignore the bike riders. A few months ago, I was hit but not seriously injured.”
“Minnesota law requires drivers, especially drivers of commercial trucks like the driver of the Quicksilver Express truck, to use extra caution when driving near a bike lane. This case is a tragedy, and the truck driver and Quicksilver Express need to be held accountable.”
Minneapolis Lawyer for Delivery Truck Injury Accident
With the increased pressure to meet delivery quotas, many delivery drivers develop unsafe driving habits. This can result in serious injury or death to pedestrians, bicyclists or other drivers on the road. Delivery truck accidents can occur if truck drivers are:
- distracted
- texting
- talking on a cellphone
- looking at a map
- checking the time
- speeding
- ignoring other traffic laws
Following an injury accident or fatal accident with a delivery truck, evidence needs to be preserved. Pritzker Olsen attorneys will conduct an independent truck accident investigation to obtain and preserve critical evidence for building a persuasive case. We will go to the scene of the accident, take photos and videos, interview witnesses, inspect the vehicles, request vital documents and reconstruct the accident.
Delivery Truck Injury Accident Compensation
One of the most important things you can do after a Minnesota truck accident is to protect yourself from any further damage. Do not talk to the trucking company, insurance company or any of their representatives. Do not sign any papers without having a lawyer look at them. These companies may seem to care, but they are trying to minimize their losses. Anything you say may be used against you and anything you sign is binding.
Our Minnesota truck accident lawyers will handle communication with the trucking company, insurance companies and medical doctors. We will also guide you through the legal process and make sure you get the money you need for:
- medical expenses
- lost earnings
